We are seeking a Geophysicist with 3 to 5 years of professional experience to support exploration activities, data management, and geophysical analysis within the Exploration Department. The ideal candidate is collaborative, technically strong, and eager to contribute to innovation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities include:
Geophysical Data Management & Processing:
· Work with legacy geophysical datasets: review, archive, and maintain historical data
· Process geophysical datasets as needed to produce standardized products using QA/QC best practices
· Support the development and maintenance of regional geophysical data compilations
· Review, process, and integrate new airborne geophysical data into regional datasets
Technical Project Support:
· Provide technical support to project geophysicists, including geophysical modeling and analytical work
· Contribute to geophysical interpretation and reporting during field seasons
· Assist with preparing high-quality technical documentation and reports
Innovation & Machine Learning:
· Contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of machine learning tools for geophysical and geological datasets
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
· Embrace and support Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives and culture
· Comply with all Orano health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and best practices
· Promote and adhere to Orano’s Values: Safety and Security, Team Spirit and Cohesion, Continuous Improvement, Customer Satisfaction, Ethics, Transparency and Dialogue, Respect and People Development
Skills and Qualifications we’re seeking:
· University degree in geophysics or a related discipline
· Registered, or eligible for registration, with APEGS as a Professional Geoscientist, Engineer, or Geoscientist-in-Training
· 3–5 years of relevant experience in geophysical data acquisition, processing, or interpretation
· Familiarity with a range of applied geophysical methods and data types (EM, DC/IP, Radiometry, Magnetometry, Gravimetry, MT)
· Proficiency with geophysical and GIS software such as Oasis Montaj, Geoscience Analyst, and ArcGIS
· Experience with Python programming is considered an asset
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a team to foster and maintain good working relationships
Work Location & Schedule:
· Saskatoon Corporate Office – 40 hours/week
· Occasional travel to various project locations in the field (Approx. 10%)
